The gradual slowdown of the residential sector in Belgrade, which started earlier in 2023, has continued until the end of the year, illustrated by a drop of the number of transacted apartments, However, construction activity remained strong until the end of the year, with the number of issued construction permits for apartments in Belgrade still demonstrating positive indicators.

 

Despite the still soaring construction activity in the capital, the slowdown of demand has become evident throughout 2023, when the number of sold apartments experienced a 23% decrease in comparison with 2022, which can also be attributed to the drop of loan buyers.
