Professional Experience
Allyn Thorpe started her career at CBRE in 2015. As a team lead of Minneapolis Research, she supports over 80 brokerage professionals as they pursue new business and support current clients by leveraging data. Client support ranges from analyzing tenant industry trends for agency leasing to maintaining comprehensive databases for occupier leasing to macroeconomic narratives for Capital Markets. Allyn is an adopter of new technology and CBRE tools to enhance her data including Liquid Galaxy, Dimension and Tableau.
She developed enterprise reports for Minneapolis as well as the Midwest, including the inaugural Taproom Trends report and Midwest Trends report. In 2016, Allyn was selected for CBRE’s Research Rising Stars Program. Through this national leadership development program, Allyn has had the opportunity to present on national leadership calls, be mentored by a Director of Research, and develop national research reports.
Prior to joining CBRE, she spent five years in the property management field in commercial and residential management roles. She studied at the University of Minnesota in the Honors Program of the College of Design where she wrote grants to obtain research funding, assisted on Professor’s research projects and was a teaching assistant. She studied abroad in Toledo, Spain in 2009 to finish her Spanish Studies Minor.
